Maybe somebody else will know this, but if he had a friend run missions for Angel cartel and he helped do them, and have his friend turn it in as "Me and my gang", will it increase his standings?

You will get aggro from the gate guns, and as the person above me said you have to be 150 km away. That distance is from the guns, not the gate. You'll be even further from the gate than 150 km.

I guess a "grid" is subject to the person using it. Most of my alliance say "get a safe spot off grid" which means flying away from the object you're on grid with until it no longer appears on your overview. You are now off-grid. 500 km is usually...
